I own a number of Spanish-made Aitors. Haven't used them much, but they appear to be solid, particularly the larger ones. The fishing knife is heavy; think it was intended for clubbing fish.

Nice collection.  :tu:

How are the pliers on the fishing tool?

The pliers are spring-loaded and bit stiff, but move smoothly. The two jaws line up perfectly, and have a wire cutter and shot crimper.

Another interesting tool is a screw-tightened small clamp, presumably to hold hooks while they're being tied.

It is my unfortunate duty to report the sad ending of this tale.

I attempted a trade for the Aitor and shipped it off. Enroute, it 'escaped its packaging', and is MIA.

In related news, I deeply loathe the US Postal Service.
