I asked a few days ago if anyone had more information on the Estwing EKA, and there wasn't much to be found, so I sent a message directly to EKA sales.
My Message"To Whom it May Concern,
I was wondering if you could tell me if the 'Estwing' branded knife, made by EKA is the same as the EKA Swede 88, with the exception of the missing lanyard hole? Is it the same Sandvik 12c27 steel?
I can't find any information on this knife on-line and would greatly appreciate any assistance.
Thank you in advance."
And the response..."Hello Lynn,
Yes, it is the older version of the Swede 88.
Best regards,
Chad Freeman"
So now I can say for certain, this IS a Swede 88. Just an older model.
Here's an insane cut test with one, for your amusement.
