SteveC,

I look forward to see if the Black holds up on your Spirit... I read so much contradicting info about BO...
This will be the real test.

Poncho,
That is going to be the kind of jobs I’ll be doing with my Spirit X, indoors type stuff. At -30 I won’t see the outdoors until April.

For the early birds, 30th is day 00 and 31st is day 1?
Or is 1st of January day 1?
I wouldn't mind starting tomorrow.

As i understand it the 31st will be day one for the Early-birds.
The 10th will be day one for the rest of us.  Hopefully I won't be the only one, it's allways more fun to celebrate my birthday with others.

Poncho, give that adaptor a work out for me.  It may be just what I've been looking for,  I can't wait to hear more about it.

Ok, I'll snap a pic of the Spirit, just to enter today, as day 0, and join on the 31st.  :tu:

The cylindrical adapters that fit the Rebar etc do fit the Spirit Phillips, and the Explored/SwissChamp one, but a square shank Phillips is stronger, since you apply force with the square neck, instead of the Phillips tynes.

It also fits the medium flathead on the Sideclip, though not perfectly. No spinning, but a lot of room to wiggle from side to side.

It also fits the PST Phillips, if you also have the small flathead deployed, so the adapter does not spin.
Same with the medium flathead and awl on the other handle.

Great pics already guys  :like:

and could you get some more pics of the cylinfdrical adapter RP  Some views of the end the tool goes in please :salute:

On a side note, I never try to overtorque the driver with the adapter on  If it has to be used that hard then it is time to try and track a more dedicated tool down :tu:

No harm done I hope! I figured you were rushed; since all of this came about quickly yesterday. But here we are roaring to go.
Where does one get those bit adapters ? Like poncho’s or reamer’s.

It looks like the early birds are off to a staggered start. Poncho and I started yesterday and some start today.

As depicted by the picture, the needle nose are great. This morning I was attempting to tighten a size #2 brass screw, and as most of us knows, it snapped. Had to drill around the screw hole to extract the tiny broken threaded end left in the wood stock. I used my Spirit needle nose to grab that little smurf. I applied enough pressure on the handles to secure the jaws on the little smurf and half a turn with my wrist...It came out. I was very pleased.
Drilled out the messy hole and inserted a piece of dowel to make the hole strong again...
First task of removing broken screw was a success.

Spirit needle nose plier jaws: 1
Busted little brass screw imbedded 3/8th of an inch into birds eye maple: 0
