Day 13: Used the scissors to open some good wrappers. Despite the diminutive size, they work well for pushing through plastic films.

Day 13:

Had a chance this afternoon to get back to the tying bench. The Spirit's scissors are nice and sharp and easily controlled; however, for fussy fly tying purposes it'd be nice if the tips were a tad pointier.

Afterwards, I was able to sit and watch the snow fall while enjoying some fruit juice.

Day 14:
Another day on the job.
Used the Spirit to cut a cable to length when I didn't have my cutters on me.

After the job I traded my bladless MP600 with my client for the accompanying tool in the pic.

I'm the DSEAR engineer for the site, Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmosphere Regulations. I make sure any electrical equipment installed on our site in our potentially explosive atmospheres is correct for that atmosphere, correctly installed and inspected to meet the BS EN 60079 series of regulations. But today it's been all database work and drinking coffee.

We did have a slight bang on the site yesterday though, 2 internal fire engines and 6 townies in attendance and it rattled the windows of my office block about 300 yards away, but it wasn't caused by any electrical gear in a zone. It was a start up following a shutdown day and someone smurfed up big time. Thankfully no one was injured, though seeing the aftermath, I have no idea how.

So day three and the Spirit was on duty. Wrapping Birthday presents.

Love my Spirit but I have to say for certain jobs the butterblade does not do very well. Also while I tried to find a niche for the scissors I just do not like them.

Spirit proved useful for opening the boxes at least.
