Day 1

Light duty prying.
Removed the clips from my Maxpedition pouches. I might cut off the plastic parts entirely, but for now, having those bulky clips off will do.

Sorry guys, I have to withdraw from this challenge for personal reasons. I wish you all a good time during this gruelling challenge. I shall also leave this wonderful community. It’s been very interesting, to say the least, to have met you good folks.

So long!

could you get some more pics of the cylindrical adapter RP  Some views of the end the tool goes in please :salute:

I hope these don't get me disqualified.  :salute:

The adapter came from a Ganzo. I assume the LM adapter will be similar to this, given the Ganzo fits my Rebar perfectly.
Note: My Sideclip and PST have the newer design Phillips and flatheads, instead of the old ones that look like SOGs drivers.

Adapter on Sideclip medium flathead. It does not free spin on it, but it leaves a gap as wide as the tool is thick,
which is too much to drive a screw without it driving you nuts.
Show content

Adapter on SwissChamp Phillips. Plenty of room to wiggle, but the adapter will not spin on the driver.
Show content

The Phillips goes in deep enough that its neck is a perfect fit on one dimension.
Show content

Adapter on PST awl and flathead. Minor wiggling. I wonder if the LM adapter fits this well.
The flathead is the perfect width for the adapter, and the combined thickness of it and the awl works out well enough to drive screws.
Some gaps on either side of the awl, but I'd have no trouble using it like this.

Adapter on PST Phillips and flathead. A bit more wiggle, and wider gaps since the small flathead is narrower than the awl.
The medium flathead is a bit wider that the Phillips, making it a better fit. I'd rather use the adapter on the medium flathead & awl.

Day2: Changing the batteries on a cheap multimeter. The philips sd was quiet big for the small screws.

Day 02:

Making a pot of refried beans today. I pulled out the plain edge blade at first, but then decided to try the "isolation length cutter" and chisel feature to peel and process some garlic. Not bad. This whacky little tool is one of my favorite features on the Spirirt. The half moon wire stripper worked like a big serration for cutting the root section off the peeled bulbs.

Next time you need to try out the sharp edge of the chisel. It excels at opening packaging.  I like the butter blade. I find it elegant, but I always carry a one hand opening plain edge knife with my Spirit because sometimes you just need to cut something in a hurry and you don't want to mess around with deploying the MT.

well these Zucchinis sure weren't going to kill me so I really wasn't in a hurry, but the OHO and extra length of my new gift knife from Kampfer sure made the task easier and faster.
Carrots and courgettes didn't stand a chance   :D

but since this is the Spirit challenge, tonight's New Year's dinner will be playing field for the Spirit, bread and veggies shall fear that ridiculous butter blade!  :ahhh

I will follow along, have been interested in the Spirit, then became confused by the Spirit X model, then by the combo packs, nylon or leather sheaths, oh my so many offerings.

Butter blade is cute, and serrated, correct?

Do like the BO model Steve found!

Day 2

Putting a paracord lanyard on my new walking stick. Struggled to crimp the end cap on as it's a bit thick for it so had to resort to using the spirit pliers.

Hopefully my 3mm shock cord arrives soon so I can swap it out. I prefer elastic lanyards on my walking sticks.

Day 2:

Happy New Year folks!
As I promised, I gave the Spirit some kitchen time for NY's eve dinner to see how it performed compared to the serrations of the Cold Steel that Kampfer gifted me.

well, it cut salad, onions, carrots and vegetable stuff very efficiently, ending up all wet and a bit dirty (luckily VIc's steel and polish won't allow for corrosion to make its way onto the tool),   :D
then  proceeded to cut some bread (background) and it made as any other bread knife would do, that is, the teeth cut clean and without breaking the soft crust. It only lacked in the edge length department, needing of more careful cutting and greater attention  :P

finally, I cut up some Strawberries for dessert, they succumbed to the sharp blade with ease. So easily, in fact, that I cut myself! That in my palm is the latest cut of 2017, thanks to the Vic's "cute and stupid" butter blade :ahhh
But it was tiny and cleaned quickly
