No work today with roads closed. The Spirit and I got a break today. :)

Day 19:

Multiple uses for the Spirit today: awl reamer a better hole in the lid of a coffee cup, large driver pried the lid off a can of boot grease, scissors snipped off a tag, and, while at the market, buying Great Northern white beans in bulk, I used the knife to sharpen the tiny pencil supplied to fill out the item tag. (I forgot to edc my bullet pen!)

No not to creative ;) We have 4 wheel and AWD vehicles :tu: Plus we live at a higher elevation than a good deal of the state (the great Cumberland Plateau  ) so we get more snow usually than others so we are more accustomed to driving in it but I just have to watch out for the other crazy people sometimes :ahhh :D

We of course don't get feet of snow as much but it has happened ;)

Always takes a couple of days of snow here for people to remember how to drive in the slicker conditions.

Day 19, bonus shot:

More work for the mighty Spirit today while prepping dinner:

Day 17

Fitted a new triton shower tonight. The Philips on the spirit is excellent. No action shot it was a big enough pain without trying to do that.

I think the same snow we got here caused a 100 plus car pile up towards Memphis :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

Georgia gets very little snow like weather but seems the last few years you all have had more than normal

I switched out a light bulb in our upstairs bedroom and I dropped the old bulb in the sink and it shattered. I used the Spirit pliers to pick up the shards.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

Traffic problems are in the Atlanta area mostly, we get snow fairly regularly in the winter, but usually without the icy roads, but it's been unusually cold. Doesn't happen often enough for people here to know what to do (slow the hell down), so it ends up being the same story every time it happens. Pretty embarassing.

Also, even when driving conditions are ideal, I see a lot of people trying to drive with their heads up their phones anymore, posting what they had for lunch on facebook, or making some clever comment on twitter, or some stupid thing. Driving is a challenge when most of the other drivers are doing something else altogether.  :ahhh

I saw someone the other day checking their phone whilst petting there small dog that was in their lap and driving with their knee  I see many people on their phones and have even seen several woman putting makeup on as they head to work :ahhh Most people here can barely drive on a good day but then they try and do something else and it just makes for a dangerous situation ::)

Just got an update from the homefront:

Coworker's solar panels went airborne.
Another coworker's garden shed landed on his car.

The indoor skiing slope in our city is about to lose it's roof.

The roof of a nearby school went airborne.

One coworker is trapped in a suburban area because all access roads are blocked off by fallen trees.
