Day 21

It's been a busy few days.

Heating died, new boiler required. Cooker clock module that died last week replacement arrived, so replaced that and my bypass wiring removed. Immersion heater went o/c, so had to replace that to. Oil heater to heat the upstairs of my house cable replaced with a longer one so I could stand it in the middle of the landing. Earth bond to the new gas meter installed after the numpty changing my meter cut it off short even though he didn't need to touch it as it was to a bond pipe clamp that didn't need to come off.
Sisters cooker element replaced and new light fitting put up for her as well.
Old dear next door, she must have saved up every blown bulb to replace until she couldn't see any more, replaced just about every one for her. Fitted led everywhere. She's 86 and has her heating set at about a million degrees.

Took today off as I had to wait in all day for the guy coming to price up my new heating system boiler.  He showed up at around the time I'd have gotten home from work anyway  :facepalm:

Oh well, I got all my housework caught up after my repair laden weekend.

Her own kids are lazy and untrustworthy  so I usually end up doing loads for her.  It says a lot when I have a key to her house and the pin number to her atm card and her own kids don't. She's been my neighbour my whole life. I bought my parents house off them and she's always lived there.

Bit of an aggravating day at work today. So I quit. That would feel good, but I'm still entangled for a couple of weeks. Still when I got home, here's who was waiting for me:

Merit Badges Start a new thread and post a photo of an Executive or Director for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the pen for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participants shall carry and use one Soldier knife, the model of their choosing, for the duration of the 90 days and post a picture each day. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Delemont SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a challenge thread and post a photo of a SAK Cybertool (any variant), Swisschamp, Champion or Toolchest for sixty (60) consecutive days. Participate in a challenge by carrying  a GEC knife and post a photo of it  for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo daily of any SAK 74mm or smaller ( you can switch it up daily ) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Build your own version of an MRE using off-the-shelf components, post a photo of the completed MRE and store at room temperature for 6 days or more. Consume the MRE after the storage period and post pictures and descriptions of the contents. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Farmer X SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Using EDC items randomly selected with a poker hand, post a photo of your EDC or a component of the EDC that got used during the course of the day for 4 weeks (or 30 consecutive days) Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of your EDC or a component of the EDC that got used during the course of the day for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a Leatherman Skeletool for thirty (30) consecutive days.
