This year has been tough so far, found somebody able to properly laser etch my maker's mark, so these knives that were "done" in January can maybe finally be sold.

Apart from these I'm almost done with 2 more knives, will post a few pics....

Rather proud of this one, a colleague (one of the bosses

) wanted to order a knife when I just started, couldn't say no anymore.
Proud yes......apart from the gutthook, which I hate and he insisted on........

Blade is forged from one ball bearing, 2nd of two that's been with me since childhood.....
Not a lot of material, so I had to find another solution....fortunately knife makers (mostly) give advice freely

Gave it in to have my maker's mark laser etched.......then I get to figure out how to sharpen that bloody gutthook

I actually wanted to update a thread on the knife on the left, it had blemishes and I didn't what to do about it......

Climbed in the the new belt grinder yesterday and just ground the forging marks out.......all except right at the back.

Started reshaping the handle as well, just need to find somebody that likes orange

I have several shades of green cotton, the effect is not quite the same.......

The shop where I get material only had the one roll, it was cheap, and the lady after me bought the rest.

I'm sure you can get wool material in your part of the first world?

I had to remove and build the handle on the tanto again, the chuck of my Dremmel failed while I was milling in that hollow for the tang, turns out it wasn't level so the knife was skew after glue-up.

It is leafspring, I knew the blade had a bend in that I thought I'd sorted out, so I was very unsure if I'd missed a kink in the tang.......so I tried to bend it straight

Learned two things.......my heat treat is good, and that handle construction is strong enough for anything.....

I'm not bragging, this is my anti-full tang knife statement!

Not all hidden tangs are created equal, but the way the tanto and the bowie with the green handle are built, you get so much more knife for the same weight. It's a lot more work, but a much better result IMHO.
