Day 17:

Nobody has done it yet in this challenge and I've never carried just this so I'm gonna try a Swiza today.

SWIZA D03 allBlack (as spelled on the box)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)

How do you like that Swiza ?
One thing I like about my D02 is that its easy to open just gripping the blade.

One thing I like about my D02 is that its easy to open just gripping the blade.

Not sure what to think of it. I'll go for pros and cons:

Pros:
- Gorgeous in all-black
- Love the scale material's grip and feel
- Pretty comfy to use (though I only used the big blade and the cap lifter)
- I'm sure it's good as a bottle opener with its 5 turns and general shape
- Love the locking blade with the Swiss cross crest button
- Tools are all very easy to grab (I agree with you about the blade)

Cons:
- Tools are a bit grippy to open (mostly the big blade/awl layer). It's definitely not the lubrication because it is (/was) brand new and full of oil. Maybe they need some breaking-in, maybe it's the black "coat", maybe it bent a little while in my pocket when I was sitting/walking/driving... Either way it doesn't feel good but deserves to be carried a bit more to see how this evolves.
- It's a bit bulky for my pockets. In my jeans' coin pocket it protrudes too much and in the big pocket it's not comfy. If I'd carried it during the week I'm sure it would've fit nicely in my suit's inner lower left pocket, just like that heavy steel-scaled Wenger from Friday.
- The hole in the cap lifter seems big enough to weaken the thing... I wouldn't dare putting lots of torque with it while trying to unscrew a rusty old stuck screw.

Conclusion:
It's a well-made tool although it's not perfect but it's complex enough that we can forgive it. I'd take it any day instead of a cheap knock-off for proper use. (For abuse I'll always use the cheap stuff... can't bear to break or damage my good knives beyond "normal" use).
If you take a Soldier 1890 for example, it's very simple and bulky and hence all the old knife-makers were able to make very good versions of it.
Now this Swiza is a lot lighter and more high-tech (thinking about the inner locking mechanism) with a more complex shape. It's a tool for the modern urban age and as such I feel like it performs reasonably well (although they'll have to explain to me why they put a can-opener; I've used a SAK's can opener just once in my entire life and it was just because I was curious of how hard it was compared to a classic spinning can opener).
Now there's the whole discussion about the apparently-smurfy philips screwdriver and the durability of the scale material... But I have seen enough abused and destroyed V and W knives to know that you have to take good care of them and I feel like if you do the same with your Swiza it'll be just fine  :D

I think they lack that good snap the vic and boker/sanrenmu tools have.
Personally I think they are overpriced for what you get.

They are overpriced indeed! I've heard that they build as many Swiza knives each year as Victorinox builds in a day... That might partially explain the price issue I guess.

No fancy logos on this one, but still very nice. Competes for pocket space with the PX.

Good stuff today guys! Really good! (not that the previous days weren't...)

So no reaction on my sterling silver esquire yesterday... Maybe this one will get one?

Day 19:

Green Macao Wenger Esquire

Used its file tip to push down a tiny 3 pin connector that was in a tiny inaccessible spot.

Chinese hand lacquer finish if I trust sakwiki. The outside is 5micron plated 18k gold.
