Beautiful knives everyone!  Day 1 for me has me carrying my GAK.  I used the caplifter/ screwdriver to open a stuck latch.

Haha, no, the knife seems a little distorted in this perspective. An optical illusion or there´s something wrong with my eyes.

Day 2:

Still not working, still just a few errands to run so I'll go light and fancy again with my other Silver G. Vavassori-scaled Ambassador which will most likely only see very limited use (maybe opening mail too).
I left the label attached on the pre-carry pics for the curious among you (yesterday's knife had the same label with the same "Articolo 1170" mention and the same ripped-sticky-label mark under it).

This side feels a bit like the silver was poured on the underside of a leaf.

The other side reminds me of those topographical maps of Switzerland... flat plateau next to mountains.

Finally, to get a better feel of the surface, here's an angled shot of the same side.

Day 2 -- Buccaneer

Change of plans. No pruning today, but leaf blowing instead. 

The Buccaneer is a Syph mod with titanium scales and brass liners. It is based on the Camper model and adds a marlin spike. There are no scale tools on this one.

Neither am I. In fact, the power tools that I use are provided by my employer. In my own small garden I don´t need power tools, and I like the silence. When I worked in forestry a few years ago, power tools were not allowed by our client (The National Forest Service (Staatsbosbeheer)) because they would disturb the wildlife (fortunately the leaves were allowed to stay where they fell). Probably that was the best job I ever had, but these days the Forest Service doesn´t have enough money and most work is done by volunteers.

How´s the fishing in the arid zone?

There are a few stocked lakes for fishing, some folks even fish in the canals (not me)

There are more nice rivers/streams as you head north... but around Phoenix it's pretty much just lake/boat fishing, unless you fancy fishing in the canal... I know there are plenty of canals in your zone, do people fish in them?
