How do you stand a SAK in your pocket??
Reply #60 on: January 10, 2018, 04:31:30 PM
This thread was meant as being how do you stand a SAK (or any knife...) just laying in the bottom of your pocket?

Haha

I don’t mind a suspension clip at all, though I prefer a regular pocket clip.

My preferred methods to carry SAK's with and without keyrings in my pockets - only from time to time a SAK finds its place in a coin/watchpocket of jeans.

Very nice!!  Did you make those yourself?

zrxoa1 I know you are from USA, the flag shows it. I am Austrian ...

I've to ask my friend how much for the sheaths, do you want me to do so? I fear the postal costs to US makes it less attractive for you.

I use Tapatalk app and it doesn’t show the flags, forgot about that.

Ah, still curious about cost, never know.

Thank you for asking your friend!

Got an answer from my friend: He is afraid about troubles with oversea-business to US, he will not do it, continental EU only. I'm sorry.

Contact Douglas, he has a guy that does absolutely fantastic work. I was extremely impressed with some of his leather work + he does custom orders for exactly what you want.

That’s ok. Thank you for asking. I understand him completely.

I have never seen any slips made that way. Very nice looking. Ask him if it is ok if I show someone those pictures, should I decide to try to get them duplicated.  I don’t want to step on toes or anything!

I see no need to ask him, there's no patent pending. Feel free to use my pictures as samples and I give you some more detail shots. On a first glance both sheaths looks the same but they are different in details (besides the fact one fits for 2-layer Alox and one for 3-layer Alox):

Since i only carry bantam alox i don't feel it at all...love that knife and since i live in city it is more than enough.

For camping and woods walking i have bigger (farmers, soldiers)

and fixed blades and they are carried in pouches or backpack so again no problem with weight or bulk.  :D

The only SAK that ever sits in my pocket, is the 'minichamp' alox that is attached to my keyring, any other SAK edc would be carried on a belt pouch
"One SAK is all right. Two are too many, and three are not enough"
