Need replacement knife and file for the leathman rebar

Hello,
I have an old leatherman rebar that has a broken file and knife. normally I would send it back to Leatherman for a replacement. However, my Leatherman has some modifications that would make the warranty not apply. Does anyone have, or know,  where I can find a replacement part?

You can check Ebay.  I have recently seen postings on individual tools being sold but not sure which model or models the tools were from.  Another option is to find another Rebar for a good price and fix it yourself.  I would watch Ebay for another Rebar too!

It really depends. I sent in a ST300 that I'd loaned to someone, and it was returned with broken pliers (not to mention, I had twisted the small flat driver on a stuck Phillips screw when the Phillips driver kept camming out). They replaced both the pliers and the screwdriver.

if I'm guessing right, you probably are in Spain (ignacio being a Spanish name most of the times).
If so, I'd try to contact Esteller (Leatherman's official distributor here) and ask via telephone whether they would accept the modified tool in and repair it. I've had very good experiences with them over the years, with old, discontinued, damaged or modified tools.

Doesn't hurt to ask!!  :salute:

I had these parts and offered them to ignacio 1997 but I guess he already found them because he never got back to me or responded to my message. Oh well... :whistle:
