I'm still interested by the Walker, oh and the Waiter, its 'in town' companion. They are a great concept for cheap and assuredly reliable daily carry solutions.

Both are very pocketable, and useful. IMO the best of the 84mm range.

Do not get the Bahco Laplander; it jams in the cut.
I find the Bahco Laplander to be really good, cuts like a hot knife through butter.  :pok:

+1

I gave a few as presents a few years ago, to people working in fields and orchards etc. and they are impressed with them.

Maybe they work better with certain woods

+1 For the cuts I have used one for I couldn't have asked for a better saw.

The Laplander vs Silky is a bit like 9mm vs .45 online. :D

That means you should get both, right?  :D

I disagree. There are loads of Silky models. Perhaps the Laplander is only as good as one of them. The sensible approach is to buy all of them and then compare. :D

I think this image says it all. At least the equal of the Charge's saw methinks.

Too beautiful to use! (My dream SAK is the Farmer with one more layer for a scissors. Saw is vital for me. I like scissors almost but not quite as much.)  I have lots of experience sawing with Vic saws. Leatherman saws are good, but nothing like a Vic.

Interesting to know how the colouration holds  up. I keep a number of Pioneer and Farmer SAKs around, but all bare alox.

A five layered one would be my holy grail:

Don't forget the 130mm SAKs, which have the biggest saws by far.(Image removed from quote.)

At that size I'm not sure it's worth not just taking my LM Charge.

The saw on the Rangergrip is much bigger than the one on the Charge, or even the Surge.

Sometimes dreams come true.

Sorry not sorry for the resurrection.  I was looking into the saw situation
