Eka Swede 88 'Estwing' help?
on: January 11, 2018, 09:47:40 PM
I won a knife in an auction on ebay.

It is branded 'Estwing', but the tang stamp is 'EKA'. Other than missing the lanyard hole, it appears to be the EKA Swede 88 with Bubinga (rosewood) wood handle.

Does anyone know anything else about this thing? Is it the same 12c27 steel as the standard EKA Swede 88?

Thanks for this.

But I found the video already, and he starts off by saying something like 'I don't know much about this thing...' then says the steel its made from. I'm assuming that HE is assuming. I was hoping for something more concrete.

Still, it's a start, and I appreciate the help.   :hatsoff:

EDIT: I also wrote EKA hoping for answers.

Thanks kindly.  :salute:

I got a message back from EKA about this also, confirming that it's just an older model of the EKA Swede 88.
