The Victorinox Executive pairs well with just about any PB multi, but this combo gives you pliers with a minimum of redundancy (if any at all).

That's a nice, lightweight combo Dan.  I would feel a bit "light" with this one for screw duty, so I might add an Armbar slim to the combo.

That’s a great combo nate  :like:  lots of good skeletool examples here but not as much representation of the sportsman.  Is this the old style or new style file?

Spirit MX Clip + Solo Plus + Rambler

I like the Alox Pruner to pair with the Spirit, but I like this at least as well as that.  Slightly different functionality, i.e. corkscrew vs. pruner blade, and larger dimensions, but at the same weight.  I prefer the thicker, high-traction nylon scales to a single-layer Alox frame.  I've also discovered over the past year or so that I really like having a lanyard to retrieve a SAK out of the Skinth P2 deep in my pocket.

I suspect I'll be carrying this combo a lot during the Spirit challenge in October and November.

Thanks guys.

It is the new style file.  It works OK, but isn’t as convenient as the old style.  The old style cuts the same regardless of direction, but the new style only cuts perpendicular to the grooves.

A sort-of mini version of yesterday's combo.  Waiter + Spirit MX Clip (Rambler not pictured)

It saddens me to realize how price-prohibitive they are now, but it stands to reason considering how long the 108mm line has been retired.  The increase in market value is great from a collector's perspective of course, but I wish things were more affordable for my MTO friends who haven't been doing this for 20 years or so like I have.  I simply wouldn't pay today's asking prices, as I couldn't justify the cost.

Well thought out combos Ledernox!

I especially like the Waiter "plus"!  I think I'll have to steal that idea.  :D  Is that a small magnet you keep between the liner and the corkscrew on the Waiter and Ranger?

I need to think about carrying my Cobra XS more instead of a Leatherman MiNi Tool.

yes, magnets very useful.
There is also one on the back layer.

And the ball pen works also on the 84mm waiter, do it 😉

If the Knipex has wirer cutter also would be perfect.

Been carrying this duo as part of the Spirit challenge. It’s already a favorite, but I’ve gained a new appreciation for the Rally as a 58mm pair to a Spirit X (spear point blade).

I do wish the Rally nail file had a version with the pointed tip like the files on a Minichamp or older classics. I have used the driver on the 58mm models before and I’m happy to have it, but when I’m pairing it with a MT with the 2mm and 3mm drivers, I don’t need it on the 58mm.
