- But I don't like the actual handle designs; fussy, over elaborate/large packaging (hello China); and they seem very over priced

I agree, I only collect them for my son, who is half Chinese.

The packaging is purely cultural, who can give the biggest and best gift (although I do like it on the SAK's).

You aren't in Eeyore mode, it's just a different culture and the more you are subjected to it, the LESS you understand it.

I've found other parts of the world to be far more distubing than SE Asia.  :salute:

Ok well I am being political in this post because I'm trying very hard to draw the distinction between the middle east and Asia, something the media in Europe and other places can't seem to manage at the moment. I know you are right, but I'm also right about the packaging.
