Is there anything preventing someone from switching the positions of the OHO tools on a Wave, so the blades are OHO for lefty users? It looks to me like the stock of the metal is not the same thickness for file/saw and the blades, but it also looks like the tool bays are wide enough and assuming the overall thickness doesn't change, I can't imagine why this wouldn't work. But at the same time, I'm not tearing my Wave apart to try. Anyone have first hand knowledge of whether this would work?I DO understand that the blade retention detent isn't on both sides of the blade. But otherwise, shouldn't it work?
So, it would require grinding the back of the blade level, which would mean there would be a little play in the blade when locked open, and taking a dremel to the handle to increase the size of the openings in the scales for access to the thumb holes in the blades. And I guess drilling little detent holes in the blades to hold the blades in closed position.Increasing the size of the openings in the scales, and putting new detents in the blades don't bother me a bit. I'm not super keen on less secure blade lock-up. Now I need to think about this for a bit. Which usually leads to 'nothing ever comes of it'.
