Day 18: First, a story to explain the pics.  I went to a funeral Friday.  I was wearing slacks and a sport coat and didn't want to belt carry anything or have bulges in my slacks, so I left my Rebar and Workchamp in the car and carried my old Climber.  It occurred to me that the way I carry (Rebar in a horizontal pouch, SAK on a homemade belt clip) works fine with jeans but not with slacks.  I ordered a P-7 pocket clip for the SAK thinking it would be less conspicuous.  Then today, I was throwing out some old picture hangers and remembered a Youtube video.  I decided to make a homemade pocket clip.  Here's the story in pictures.

The Rebar with before and after picture hangers.  The top one has been shaped with the pliers.

The finished product.

Pocket clip in action.

Much less noticeable than the homemade belt clip.

It works great!  Hard to imagine the $12.00 P-7 working better, but it has already been shipped.  I'll probably use it when it comes but it was fun making this one with the Rebar.

What exactly is the rebar challenge? I assume it’s to only use that one tool for 30 days?

Thanks.  Got my P-7 today and I'm going to use it just because I paid for it, but I actually think the homemade version works better!

Day 19: Got my TEC P-7 suspension clip today.  Using the Rebar to measure different Sbiners to decide which one to use.

I really like the P-7, but not $12 more than my homemade clip.  Too late now.

Day 13: Bought some bubble mailers to send out free Vic knives; had to remove the plastic wrap.

(Image removed from quote.)

(Image removed from quote.)

My new Vic Work Champ had defective pliers (the jaws were missing teeth) and Amazon sent me a new one.  While checking it out, I noticed that the mini screwdriver was screwed into the corkscrew so tightly that I couldn't remove it.  Rebar to the rescue.

(Image removed from quote.)

(Image removed from quote.)

Ironic that I used the Rebar to fix the Vic.

Were you the guy who asked in the Swiss Army Collectors FB page about how to remove the miniscrewdriver from the corkscrew?  :D

----

Even though I dont use my Rebar much, it has been in my bag since I got it and feel confident having it nearby.

Day 20: My wife bought a HUGE clock after watching HGTV.  I was going to mount it on the wall, but I dropped it!  It bent the hands pretty bad.  Enter the Rebar.

Bent hands.

Took off the brass nut holding the hands on, straightened the hands. and reattached the brass nut.

She noticed and boy is she mad.  You guys are safe, though.  I manned up and took the hit.  Maybe I'll use the Rebar to break out of the doghouse.

Day 21: My son had borrowed my tools and the socket set was a little rough.  Decided to take out the sockets and clean everything but the ones close to the edge have to be pried out.  I always used my Mountaineer but this is a Rebar Challenge.

You can basically get the same clip from an online place for less than $1 each.

Day 22: Having squash and onions as part of my dinner tonight.  Pics show cutting the squash; onion came later.

For some reason I feel the Rebar is more comfortable this way when doing repetitive slicing tasks.

I do as well.  Extend the handle on my ST300 also.

Extend the Serrated blade and you have weapon.
