Heres a pretty good reference for which Tshank for which material. (Image removed from quote.)

Having a little hacksaw blade is immensely handy for me, for that reason only I love the blade exchanger. I wish they would develop/evolve it a bit more... and I was pretty disappointed that they didn't include something like it when they relaunched the Wave as the Wave +.
Totally agree Fuzzbucket, if and when i manage to produce an effective t-bar blade exchanger for my Charge i will of course post with photos.I have seen many folks who have done this on the Wave/Charge tools and also fitted scissors in the file slot. This i do not understand as a file is surely a necessity on a tool with a hacksaw.
Very true.
T-shank file from the Surge.
I honestly think they just didn't want to do it so suckers will buy both the surge and wave. Like how they will not give you a perfect MT. I have one BE adapter from China that can be used and stow with the sawblade attached. Doesn't look nice but works.
One of the things I like a lot about the Crunch is that I can get just about any type of saw blade to fit
