I (finally) got my hands on the old design Suspension, and really didn't hate it. It sounds like almost every real problem i had with it has been addressed in the NXT.
Except handle splay. And I'm not keen on them changing to a partially serrated blade.
Those both seem pretty minor though, for a sort of entry-level MT.
I REALLY like the handles formed from one piece of stamped material. The backstop for the plier head on the old Suspension, coupled with the long pin to accommodate the wide body really over-compromised the strength of the pliers, IMO. The changes they made seem to have addressed that.
I also noticed they got rid of the saw. Since it was pretty much the worst feature of the old Suspension, I don't mind seeing it go, honestly.
As I'm just not an 'early adopter', I won't be rushing out to get one, but it, like the SOG Power Pint, kind of have my interest.
