Not my thing, but hey WTF, ex-colleague and time-drifted friend asked me to give his knives some attention....and I'm not sorry I finally agreed  :salute:

Gift from his dad when he was 10........obviously he grew up on the other side of the train tracks than me....... :whistle:







I understand these are quite collectable, what I know is it was made my tiny Japanese hands but fits beautifully in my fat paws, the AUS8 was dull & chipped and I had it push-cut sharp in a few minutes.

I would gladly steal this knife!  :rofl:

Charged a 6-pack for my efforts and still unpaid.......smurf!

This knife is 8 years old, made by my teacher  and friend.
Steel is D6.
Handle is Giraffe bone and some hardwood.

D6 is a bit of a barstool to sharpen, when I did the knife making course I had a choice between 4mm and 6mm stock, very sorry I choose 6mm  :facepalm:

This knife was difficult but not impossible like mine  :facepalm:

Nice  !  I used to have the folding version of that. I sold it a few years ago for some good $$$
