on: January 26, 2018, 10:13:27 PM
Does the small / eyeglass bit driver of a wave / charge fit in the Surge in place of one of the flat screw drivers?

I completely agree... I have done business with Loki before, and he is a stand up guy. :salute:

I certainly wasn't trying to undermine Loki with my offer to the OP; just wanted to offer a used part at a potentially lower cost. (The majority of Loki's parts are brand new.)

Nothing against Loki at all, I have bought off him before and he was great to deal with.  :tu:
Just the cost of getting brand new tools off him (which are unavailable anywhere else) may be cost prohibitive and in some cases buying a whole second hand tool instead may be a better option.

Can also vouch for Loki! His mini screwdriver adapter works great in the bit holder of my surge!

i am so sure the old style surge will look 100% original, i have an extra eyeglass bit from my wave, and ir is just slight smaller to the rest of the bits. it also fit and lock without any issue in the place of the medium flat head screw driver.

😆 I have to double check the date a few times... The OP was almost a year old...

Anyway, I think I read somewhere that a wave scissors does fit. I am just guessing that the lock groove profile is the same but the depth of the groove will be more shallow, so while the wave tools will fit, I think under heavy torque or pressure, the lock will slip. That's just a guess of course. A scissor or micro screw bits will not experience that kind of hard use. So I too think they will work fine.  :tu:
