In order to maintain air-speed velocity, a budgie needs to beat its wings forty-three times every second, right?

Depends if it's fully laden or not

I'm fairly certain Ben's budgies will be as lazy as he is, so flight time will be quite lengthy I believe :D

OMG it is pretty impressive how any thread can be about bloody budgies!  :D

Mike, the box that it may be in is behind a mound of even larger boxes in my loft.  Hopefully I can look this weekend.  :tu:

I'd call it an accident waiting to happen :D

Seriously though, I never really did form an opinion on it one way of the other  . Although the saw/blade combo makes more sence than the blade/blade ones I've seen :)

I guess the hole in the blade is part of some locking mechanism is it?

The blade/saw is the original design, but I guess SOG didn't think it was tactical enough heh.

They are moving the revolver to fusion line, which isn't a bad thing in itself, except the blade is downgraded to 440A, and here I was hoping to see a VG10 version one day. Oh well, aus8 is still better than 440a I suppose.  :(

Yes a floating pin in handle (actuated by a lever on other side of handle) goes through it and two steel liners, so unless you break the 1/4" pin or steel liner the blade isn't going to rotate by itself.

I'd classify it as a fixed as you can never fold it leaving it bladeless.

I'd classify it as a fixed as you can never fold it leaving it bladeless.

Strangely I'd go the other way and call it a folder.  My reasoning is; it has two of the mechanical components I'd associate with a folding knife i.e a pivot and a lock.  Still, it looks like a neat idea but I'm not after one myself.

My line of thinking was that the blade spins and doesn't fold.

It's a spinner then.  :D

I'm pretty sure there is a discussion on BB about this sort of thing, my thinking is it is a fixed blade with a rotating sheath :)

Found these while I was rummaging about...90's vintage KaBar with a phosphate finish and stapled sheath and an Ontario Chute knife.
