Looks good Robert

You could try some mineral spirits on a clean soft rag to get rid of the buffing compound

Thanks Steve and thanks for the info!!!

Felt a bit better this afternoon and took the dogs outside to do their business...while outside, I grabbed a quick (and hopefully better) pic of the Scandi Bushcraft.

(Image removed from quote.)

:added

I noticed a slight green cast on parts of the walnut handle and discovered that some of the green polishing compound is still in the grain of the wood.  Thinking about how I can get that out without abrading the wood surface. The knife was advertised as "not a spit shine" model but built to work and the price was cheap enough for me not to mind.
Love the look of that blade :dd: :like:

Thanks Ponch!!!    I'm gonna see if I can swap sheaths with my BRK Kephart....its a similar size/style brown one and the green leather will look nice with that green micarta handle on the Kephart.

We'll see.

I've been looking at videos of Sami knives.  What a terrific design and wonderful knife.  I don't recall anyone posting up pics or discussing this lovey knife.

Got this nice Japanese carbon steel chef's knife from my brother for Xmas. Unfortunately, the packaging and all of the writing is in Japanese, so I really can't tell you much about it. (lol)
