Nice stuff guys!

I had looked for a sheath for this one for a while.  It's similar but different from my Schrade 147 (lost in the fire) I used to hunt with. It has more belly for one thing.

Its a Western but I can't see a model number. 3 line tang stamp says Western, BOULDER, COLC (or D) then a long patent # underneath.   ???

Great old Western Robert! Look on the front of the brass guard there might be a model number there.     :)

Nothing....  :(  I'll have look for it visually on a google image search of Western fixed blades....and I need to see if it can be dated.

Thank you!!!!  Yep, the 1935-1950 stamp but mine has a "C" at the end instead of an "O" but looking at it with a loupe, it looks like it was a cracked die that made an incomplete "O".........and found the model number...W88.

Those old knives had good steel in them. Duofold make quick work on most knives. I have two of those that get used all the time.     :like:

My latest to the military collection a Camillus blade marked (62-66) Jet Pilot Knife.
I should have had another WW2 guard marked Kabar mk2 to show but unfortunately the package turned up with a hole in it empty, no knife. My first bad usps shipping experience.

Glad you got it sorted out. I've had a few  empty packages in the past also. I had one seller ship me a  12 1/2" Puget Sound axe head loose in a box with no filler or padding. The edges were not covered either and were sharp. The axe head had cut and poked through in a couple places. How that axe head made it from Oregon to Kansas is beyond me.

Thanks David, I was concerned at first but the seller said he would sought it and did. I'm not out of pocket except for the knife.  Mine had to go international so no way of knowing even what country it disappeared in.

I can just imagine the look on a postal employees face if that axe head had of slid out of the box and stuck in the floor between their feet.     :D

Maybe annoying was a bit of an understatement. I'm wondering if it will turn up on eBay at some point. I've kept photos in case they're silly enough.
