I'll do a new group shot soon...
Awesome collection Robert  :salute:
I have the 35-244 but find the handle a bit short. I remember an article on Green River years ago in I think Blade Magazine and  there was an early Dadley? with a tapered tang. I'm loving seeing your great collections. :tu:

Thank you Andrew!!!  If you ever run on to that article online, shoot me a link...sounds interesting. Yes, that 35-244 is smaller. That size was all you could get for a while, even in the Green River kits. That size difference spurred my hunt for the older ones. The old full sized ones are 10" overall with a 6" blade.

Thanks all.

The Quartermaster's blade is 3 or 4 times thicker than the one on my Wenger. Designed for prying open wood crates. The heavy pommel was for pounding nails back in when a hammer wasn't readily available. A definitely solid tool, and weapon.

Will do Robert. Yes all I read about was 6" Green River Dadleys but couldn't find one anywhere. Not here anyway. Always plenty of the standard line with the plain handle.

Also like the flat ground variation Grohmann compared to the sabre.

Thx Andrew!!!  The big ones are BK-5's and the smaller one is the discontinued BK-15. IIRC.

Yeah, I agree, those flat ground Grohmanns are sexy looking blades IMO!  :D

Thx Styx!!   I do too! It's really well made and will carry a ton of weight. One thing I would change...and it's just me..but after carrying heavy carrying heavy camera bags for 40+ years, I wished the shoulder strap passed completely around the bag. The way the HW bag is made is extremely good but putting the strap around the bottom would be even more sturdy on heavy weights.

And that Kryptek camo pattern has become my favorite! Even bought a hat in it!!!

I'm not sure I should be looking at anything camo. Knowing what I've already said on this forum it's a slippery slope to having camo underwear. And safety orange for hunting season ;)
