Got a couple new ones the other day at a yard sale. First is a Kinfolks fish knife in as new condition with  a very clear etch. Second is a Christopher Johnson Western Works commando dagger;possibly from WWII.

Unpacking from a short road-trip here in Montana.

I brought along my challenge SOG Powerlock and a Victorinox Classic, but, since we were going through some remote country, I also took along a capable camp knife, forged by AA Customs:

It's only 8", but it's fairly thick, so it has enough heft to chop reasonably well. Great edge, too.   :tu:

that hammer/forge finish near the spine is neat,  8), and I guess it's 1095, D2, 01 or 5160?

Lol! Was over at my mom's today to tune up her lawn mower.  Ever since my belt sander crapped out I've been sharpening the blade by hand with a file.

Picked this up at a Military show here.
Still trying to work out what the stamps might have been. Looks like a Stag with a crown between the antlers.
