I've got a good deal on some very fine blades and I really like the look (and feel) ot the mammoth tusks parts. Just thinking about it's about 40.000 years old, Found in Russia, takes the whole "building" process to a different level...

Just dug this one out of a box...

I believe it is called a boatknife. The right scale is stamped "Sheffield England" in the wood and the blade has a light etch of 1988 with the Broad Arrow along with the number "5110-99-437-5839".

Any of you Brits familiar with it?
