This knife was made by Charles Ochs of OX Forge. If you have ever been a fan of auto knives, then you should recognize his name.He created the first modern era auto knife euphemistically referred to as the "black knife".Tony Marfione the owner of Microtech used his design to create his version which he named the UDT,Underwater Demolition Team.

I bought this knife about thirty years ago and used it for local hunting of Whitetail deer and on a few wild hogs in Tennessee. It's a great tool for hunting. Its size makes it good for gutting big game game, yet it has enough belly to the blade to make it a viable skinning knife as well.It has a four inch drop point blade with a tapered tang. It's a well balanced knife and has a very pleasing appearance,as well as a practical design for hunters.

Very nice tool guy.
Love tapered tang knives. It’s a feature that should be on all custom knives at least.

Thanks.

I have many that have tapered tangs.

When the blades are large and or thick, the non-tapered tang works better.

Very nice. I have two of the Case XX 337 6” Q knives.

My latest is this Vintage 70’s dive knife from US Divers Aqua Lung. The model is Sea Rambler.

Thanks. Not sure about plating but could be. They were in the ‘73 catalogue that I found online and it didn’t say anything about being plated just corrosion resistant. An ‘80 catalogue doesn’t have them at all.

That looks like one of Pete's older designs.

Congrats.

Another vintage dive knife.
Dacor this time. Was in their catalogues in the 60’s.
Not sure how long this style was made till.
$13.95 in the ‘69 catalogue. Condition is pretty good just missing the rubber keeper that goes over the top of the handle.

That's a nice looking knife and a very compact sheath.

This is a custom 4" drop point hunter done by a maker with the name of Tank.It has a handsome desert ironwood handle.

I can't remember the name of his shop but I think it's something like 3Bar Ranch in Texas.

I bought a small auto from him and he emailed that his shop had burned down.In an effort to help I ordered several knives from him. This is one of them.
