Carried this one today  have it on the belt loop between my two back pockets and it is riding pretty good back there :like: the handle is just the right size for my hands as well :tu:
That slight drop point is something I wish my Kolt knife had as I find if when I want to run a slice under/through something (mainly at work)the point would often get hung up.

Cool knife, Sak60.

Reminds me of a Buck Woodsman.  I used to have one of those, handy little knife!

Yes it is. G96 did a few Buck clones.
I had a G96 940 once (Buck 119). I prefer the grind and edge to the later buck’s.

Thanks David. I was thinking one of these would be a good first fixed blade for a non adult beginner.

Most likely my best 5160 blade to date.
Un-molested bar stock.
Digital kiln heat treat.
Perfect temper colour

I had this out today for a check up.
This is a custom I bought from a local maker nearly 20 years ago now.
Originally it had a slight recurve at the rear which I ground out.
It was described as a Japanese temper fighter. The differential temper is now the darker section along the edge and slightly up and along the back of the blade.
It’s patina’d up a lot over the years.
