Glad it's nothing too serious, Lynn. You did the right thing getting it checked out though, so don't let feeling a bit silly this time, doubt going back there for anything else in future. It's always worth checking

Exactly this.  While it's obviously great to hear it was nothing life threatening this time, that doesn't mean that you didn't do the right thing in having it checked out and should do the same if it ever happens again.

+1

When in doubt, ask someone who knows about it. If it's serious, you went to the right place. If it's not serious, you've put your mind at ease.

Glaad it was just a scare!

I think I had something similar last night, last year I had kidney stones removed, so I get a little discomfort every once and a while, yet last night while watching tv with the wife I ended up hitting a 9 out of 10 on the piain scale three times in 30min, I must say hospital was in my thoughts, but I told the wife I had to go to the bathroom, and I felt 10times better, then this morning I had to go again twice and I’m feeling great! Only problem was that was my peace and relax time yet the dog whimpered on the other side of the door, which means she had to go, and the wife was still sleeping so I had to cut my time short to make sure she didn’t go in the house.. so I guess now the both of us are feeling better..

Hi Lynn

Really glad you are OK. I mean, I have a rockin' PST II to remember you by, but it wouldn't be the same here without you.

Just so you feel even less alone from society...You and I are about the same age and I had the exact same condition about ten  or 15 years ago. Not because of caughing, though. I trained in Chinatown since 1986, and sometimes someone pulling your arm back - but then letting it go quickly - can cause this issue. Or, or it could have been reaching from the  front seat of the car to the briefcase in the backseat of the car...

We forget the ribs meeting the sternum is a joint. Separating it a bit and letting it spring back creates a "certs breath mints" advertisement effect, like the ends of two sticks being rammed together end-on. The joint complaint between them becomes injured and inflamed.

Again, glad you are OK
