Usually, in my right jacket pocket. Come summer, I´ll use a belt pouch.

I carry my Herc in a generic kinfe/flashlight sheath, attached somewhere inside my bag. Obviously the sheath would be good for belt carry as well, but never tried that. Too bulky for me.

I've been using a sheath on my belt, I'm quite comfortable with it, I tried a pocket but it was a little big for me

Outrider Day 18:

Got out for some ice-fishing today. Fishing was slow, but, as they say, a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work.....

(Image removed from quote.)

I did land (and release) one nice Rainbow, but the Outrider didn't get much use. Used scissors (oh, those lovely scissors) to trim some excess line after tying a knot. After that, it was watch and wait....and wait...and wait.....

(Image removed from quote.)

I'm jealous, my ice gear stayed packed up this year, we had a couple of freezing spells, but over all mild and rainy, on the up side, open water will be early

Day 24  -- Fireman

A walk would be good for me, I thought, but these bone spurs were killing me and I did no more than four miles. So now I´m back home and it´s not even three PM yet. Tomorrow I´ll go on my bicycle.

Bummer. I've only been ice fishing for a few years, but I've come to love being out on the ice during a season when it's all too easy to get stuck inside, developing cabin fever. I prefer going for Perch, but my fishing buddy wanted to go for trout. But fun is fun and a day of not getting "skunked" is icing on the cake (pardon that feeble pun.).

We still have a month of ice fishing to go.......

Sorry to hear those bone spurs are still troubling you. I've had to deal with that, too, and I hate not being able to get out for a walk!

Ice those sore spots to get the inflammation down and put your feet up for some rest.

Great shots, anyway, Ron.

Day 23: I carry the 111 mm in a belt pouch. It's a bit too big for just the 111 mm alone so I might have to reconsider .. Ah well, it's going ok

Day 20

I forgot to denote my previous post as the daily challenge one, so just for the record reposting the Herc in the sheath as day 20 now.

 Thanks!  I'm thinking about doing a shorter piece of wood, possibly a branch, and drilling it out with a press.  I can hardly wait to see how it works.  That pipe of yours sure looks great!!
Still working on my pipe. :dd:

Looks good!

What are you going to do for the stem?

Day 24

Our warped, plywood counter held water every time it rained so I bored a hole with the awl so the water will drain and not make it any worse.  They've been promising to rebuild the booth for 2 years already but I'm not holding my breath waiting for them.

Slow day today for Hercules, caught him doing push-ups.

As a bonus: two shots showing the Spartan wall in the Geneva flagship store.
