First was the Rebar & Micra combo for Father’s Day. Which I have gifted to a mate in the USA.

Last MT was the MUT that my (Late) Wife bought me.

Favourite is the MUT, for sentimental reasons.

Hello!

My first Leatherman was the original Super Tool in the 90's. Yesterday I just bought a Leatherman Wave+; and maybe my favourite is my recently retired "new" Wave that I used for the last 9 years; altought I have one Charge TTI and a Charge ALX that I like a lot.  :multi:

First was the original Supertool.

Favourite is, without question, the Pulse.

Last, I'm embarrassed to say, I can't remember. :-[ In my defence it's been a couple of years since I bought a LM and I can't recall in what order I bought things in.

Edit- Seems that the last one I bought was my BO PST, though that was very shortly after my Sideclip.   8)

Update.

Obviously first hasn't changed; Original Supertool

Favourite still has to be the Pulse.

Last is the Bond.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

I thought that the very first MT I owned was a Leatherman bought from Home Depot, but I can't remember if it was a PST. And it is possible it was not a Leatherman. So, I am going to begin with what I know for sure:

First: Squirt ES4
Last (for now): SideClip
Favorite: SuperTool

First:  Leatherman Mini-tool purchased in about 1990 after I got an A in Contracts in law school.  Little did I know at the time where that would lead me.

Most recent:  Costco-only Leatherman Bolster.

Favorite?  Yikes. That varies from day to day.  Rebar, maybe, if I had to pick just one.

After years ogf buying cheap knock off tools.

I purchased my first real leatherman wave.
Loved it and still love it, but it has its drawbacks.

Later I found a very comfortable leatherman tool. the sidekick.
Comfortable to handle, lighter than the wave, fits nicely into the pocket, I bought several for friends and family.
Again, it has some drawbacks (I hate the serrated blade)
But overall, its about as good as I could ask for in a daily carry.

What other leatherman would I like?
The crunch appeals, but could be bulky.
Other than that, the wave and the sidekick meet my needs.

First was a Sidekick in late 2012. Latest was a Curl in August 2021. Favorite was probably my Wave, Wave+, or my original Wave. Although my Curl (modified with saw instead of file) has replaced my Waves for EDC. So I guess my modded Curl is my current favorite Leatherman.
Current SAKs: Explorer, SwissChamp, Handyman (modded), Climber, Super Tinker, Tinker, Woodsman (modded), Electrician, Pioneer, SwissTool, Executive, Ambassador, Champion Plus
Current Leatherman tools: PST, Original Wave, Wave, Wave+, Blast, Bond, Curl, Style PS, Micra

Couldn't afford to look at Leathermans as viable options when I was younger. Used to carry $30-$50 Gerbers. When I carried any at all. Then 6 years ago I decided to treat myself to my first. Amazon was running a special on the Surge. It's all history from there lol sooo . . .

First: 2nd gen Surge
Last: my 2nd Crunch
Favorite: 3 way tie between Wave+, Rebar, and Crunch. They all get carried throughout the week.

First : Second gen Wave

Last: Micra/Rev/Skeletool package from the bay

Favourite: The Wave. Many MT's later, good amount of money spent - it still looks like the first choice I made was the best. I love all my multi tools, carry them according to the occasion and rotate them just for the fun of it, but the one that suits me the best is still the Wave.

First: I don't remember. Probably a PST or a PST II.

Last Most recent: a December 2001 Micra and a Kick (they arrived in the same package, thanks to Aloha).

Favorite: if I had to pick one, a Squirt ES4. It got lost in the shuffle of one of my umpteen moves. I miss it dearly, and I'm a little perturbed at the cost of a new (or new-to-me) one.

Very interesting thread and felt a compelling need to participate. Here are mine...

First - Flair, got it with my first paycheck. I remember looking at the wave too but it was more expensive and I had a special connection with the Flair at the store. Must have been all that wine I was imagining opening. I lost it and got a replacement right away and never used it since then.

Last - Bolster. I was surprised to see this and had to come home and Google to make sure Costco is not pulling a fast one.

Favorite - If modded tools are allowed I would go with the Signal with scissors + tooth picks in the whistle. If not allowed, then the Wingman. Not a crowd favorite but works for my needs and relatively cheap to replace when I lose it. Spring loaded pliers is a plus for show and tell with the moms at the McDonald play area.

I wonder how many moms went out and bought a LM either for themselves or the significant others?  I used my Wave to help a client and she asked about it.  She asked where to get one and said she'd have to pick one up.

My first was a Crater C33T which I lost
My last one was a Skeletool which I really liked but later I felt that the pliers are so small that they are quite task specific instead of being an all around edc at least in my life. My edc tasks for pliers are tougher.
My favourite was a Surge which I ended up selling because I didnt need it that time that much and I thought it was too expensive.
Now that I changed my job and I am also building a house by myself and that Putin is next door to Hungary and I know he’s dreaming about the Soviet Union refurbished when he’s sleeping and I’ve found a seller with great prices, I feel like its time to have one once more and keep it for good this time.  :salute:
