Thanks!
Went for a bit of skateboard towing with him... The picture-taking was taking too long for him I guess :D

Day 40: Victorinox Sentry "2071 r+" (or maybe without the + since it doesn't have a cross...?). It has KUGLER engraved on the blade... No way to know for sure what that was/is as many have used this name professionally... Might be a personal engraving too. It's probably not right but I like to think that it comes from the old Kugler foundry in Geneva which has now been converted to a set of artist workshops.

Just a bit of manicure work for this single-bladed beauty today.

Day 41:

Victorinox Secretary in Blue with a brand/ad that despite my best efforts today I was unable to identify...
Too many SAS possibilities... I thought for a bit that it was an older logo from the Swiss Academic Ski-club but they've had their current logo for a very long time and it looks nothing like the one on this knife. If anyone recognises where this is from, I'd be really grateful for the info :D

I can't stop reading that as Universal snort... I had to hold myself not to make that joke in my post :D

Day 42: Wenger Patriot in darkish red with Wenger ad on the back. This one also features the W logo and a more detailed location and old 6 digits phone and fax numbers. (it's 7 base +3 mandatory "regional" digits now)

Maybe the answer to everything is a meta-Wenger? :D

I find these Patriots so much sexier than Victorinox's Secretary... That clip-point small blade and the shine... The crest...

Enjoy :D

+1 there. It'd be nice to see a run of Celidor SAKs with that old crest, Spartans or Sportsmen or Compacts.  An 'anniversary' model wearing the old coat of arms.  :tu:

Day 44

Victorinox Secretary in silver with the red rounded shield (since you guys liked day 43 so much :D)

I gotta agree with you on the fact that this crest is classier than the newer pentagon-like one.

Usually take my indoor pics on the back of Lenovo laptops but I figured the color-scheme with my work devices would be more interesting with today's lineup.

After years collecting knives I went from not knowing they exist to owning 2 of those in the span of two weeks and I have no idea how this miracle came to be :D

I had just read that article about the Chinese collector and his smooth blue Alox Dutch Army Knives (funny how it's all about the Dutch some days huh?). In the next few days I saw the auction of what I assume to be their cousin; smooth Alox Cadet II. I won it a few days later. The following week I received it in the mail and on Saturday that week I got my hands on a collection of 90 knives with another one of these (number 45 here) in it.

Day 47:

Victorinox Watch Case Opener in a gorgeous grassy green with Villard branding. Apparently defunct watchmaking brand which maybe got swallowed up by a bigger fish.
Anybody has any info on them? I didn't find much else than 40-50 years old examples of their watches while searching online...

I didn't get to use it at all today but I did lend it to a colleague who was having trouble opening up a snack bag. :D
Not sure I'd ever need the watch case opening "blade" as I mostly carry automatic watches now.

It's pristine indeed. Tool and blade deserve a bit of a cleanup but other than that it's just gorgeous :D
