Deleting own posts - suggestion

Like editing, I suggest posts should also be deletable within a certain time after posting. It frequently happens I hit Quote instead of Modify and thus generate a new post without wanting it. I can then edit that one, of course (saying something inane like "oops, sorry, double post") but the post itself stays - with the attendant risk of hitting Quote again, of course, and so on and so forth at nauseam  :facepalm:

You can always report it to us, who will terminate it with extreme prejudice delete it for you. :salute:

History lesson for you Newbies:
Maaany years ago someone went back and deleted his own posts, whilst having an argument with some members, thus screwing up many threads (maybe he later became the owner of photobucket...)

Thus the option for members to remove their posts was removed.

Charter members can do that, within a certain time interval.

Regular, economy class, members are not required to do theor own cleaning/deleting and can ask a moderator to do that dor them
