In December we had the Dark Spirit Giveaway and now, with it being Groundhog Day, in honor of Shubendacadie Sam seeing his shadow, biting a reporter and "blessing" us with six more weeks of winter (damned rodent) I have decided that we all need to think of a silver lining- and the most useful silver lining I could come up with was the high polished stainless steel exterior of arguably the prettiest multitool out there, the Victorinox Spirit.



Yes, I generally prefer to take my own photos, but I can't in this case, as this month's prize is still plastically contained in it's box, which also contains AIR FROM SWITZERLAND!  Yup, that's the extra bonus this month, you not only get an awesome tool, but you also get to close your eyes and inhale the feeling of being Swiss when you open it up!



*Staff and management of Multitool.org is not responsible for any desires to put on lederhosen and dance around, singing about how the hills are alive.  Which seems frightening, as hills are large, and don't strike me as things that would be in a very pleasant mood after being awoken after that much sleep.

The rules are simple- and the same as always, but for the new kids in town, here's the gist of it:

1- Donate a minimum of $10 to the Forum Operational Fund before midnight (Forum Offset Time) on February 28th and you will be entered in the draw. 

2- If we don't hit the goal of $275 for the month then we won't do the draw, instead I'll put the Spirit in The Multitool.org Store and you can pay a lot more than $10 for it.

3- If we hit the goal before midnight on Valentine's Day (February 14th- it's coming up guys, mark your calendars now  :pok:) then I'll do an Early Bird Draw, but don't get too excited about that as the Early Bird Prize is usually not that exciting.   :facepalm:

That's about it- now how about another look at that sweet Spirit?

I just realized that I might have done this wrong all along.. I guess that there is some sort of fee that has to be paid.. So when one donate 10$ it is ending up a bit short.. Which amount does count to get a chance in the draw? The donated or the received? I'm a bit slow sometimes but I rather ask one to many questions

I kicked in $11 because I saw the paypal fees cut my previous donations down to nine dollars and change. For some reason that irritated me.   :rant:

In order to pick this month's winner I took all of the entries (35 of them) and I randomized the list.  Then once everyone had a number I rolled a D30 and a D6 and got a 9 and a 5, totaling 14.

I then went down the list to see who's name was #14 and it turned out to be our own Hiraethus!
