Hey everyone! New member here, I've been fairly active on other forums over the years (Watchuseek, Usual Suspect Network, EDCForums, and others) but this is my first time registering for multitool.org. I've always had at least a small interest in multitools, but have only ever owned Leatherman's and Gerber over the past 20 years or so. I decided to register so that I could learn more about the Victorinox Swisstool variations and maybe find a nice example to purchase at some point.

A little about me: I'm a USMC infantry combat veteran with a tour in Fallujah Iraq in 2004 (Fun fact, I carried a Leatherman Wave during the whole deployment and it was basically my primary tool). I'm married with children, and currently work as a police officer in a medium sized city with a large sized crime rate. I like pocket knives, flashlights, long walks on the beach... you get the idea!

I have the same username across most of the forums that I frequent, so if anyone here is a member of other forums, you can search for LJUSMC and find posts that I've made and look up my reputation on some of them.

In 1990 when we deployed for Desert Shield/Storm a lot of us were buying the 'new' Leatherman, but we were issued the old TL-13a pliers & kit. I wore one of these on my belt anytime I was in the field for the first few years.
