Day 24I had plenty of problems to chew on today, but none of them could be solved by the Sportsman - it was all code! (C# and JavaScript for anyone interested) [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
I'm interested! I've been doing software development for the last 20+ years. I worked in C++ for the first half of it, full stack stuff.Nowadays I am in the Fintech industry (backend Java, Kotlin, Amazon cloud, etc.). I've been busy with AWS studies over the last two months (Solutions Architect certification). Exam is in 10 days! 😅
I think a change of title (don't really care) and salary (do care) are in order soon.
I’m not in IT, but as a general observation I would say there is value in the former because of its potential to impact the latter…1. If your internal HR looks at comps/benchmarking to evaluate your compensation vs. market, your title probably impacts this evaluation.2. If you’re talking with external recruiters about what market-competitive compensation looks like for someone with your skill set, and or looking at other job opportunities, your title probably impacts these.
