It's great - snow and sport... and the promise of brattish behaviour and scandal! I really do love it... although the opening ceremony did drag on bit...

Anyway, I was just thinking last night, as one does before one goes to bedy-byes... if there was such a thing as a special Multitool.org Olympics, what events/games would take place?

That Canadian guy did well to stay on his feet in that last race and made the A final.  The Americans are getting a few DQ's

I don't know if you saw it, but there was quite a few slips/crashes earlier on, I wonder if there's an issue with the ice? There was loads yesterday too with the figure skating... (gulp)... am... yes, I did just admit to watching that...  :D

Yeah I did. They were saying it's the same rink as they use for the figure skating and the ice is made softer for that so it could be contributing to the falls

just looking at the tv guide, Spanish TV only covers events between 1am-9am local time, no repeats. And a lot of sports (like Hockey) are only covered on Eurosport which is a paid only option here.

Eurosport... paid option yes.

I feel bad for the Spanish athletes as they are already poorly supported (for winter games at least).

Speed skating! Bronze, silver and gold for the Dutch ladies (3000m)! The men a bit disappointing with just gold (5000m) for Sven Kramer - even if it was his third gold medal in a row..

Norway took all three medals in the big cross country skiing race  :salute:

The guy who took the gold had fallen down 2 minutes into the race and came back from near last to win  :o

We are watching curling now.  We've been watching quite a few events whenever possible.  The timing hasn't been great for us though.
