You should be good to work with just the pocket clip on the Kick.
The post should be keyed and not turn, the screw side should turn once you break the loctite with heat (a few seconds with a lighter).

Erm.. Not advisable with the torch/lighter on the kick/blast/fuse series though.. The zyrtel will melt.. Some say soldering iron will work..

Except that it doesn't melt... just tilt to one side so the flame runs up the stainless, it's only a few seconds. Any soot will wipe off.

A frisson of jeopardy then.... will experiment with a soldering iron applied gingerly to the screw and if that doesn't work go at it with a lighter. Bottle of Loctite is in the post for reassembly  :tu:

You don't have to make it to hot
To soften the thread lock  :tu:

I am pretty sure mine melted..  but I have to admit it was the very first tool I took apart when I started the hobby.. In any case, exercise extreme caution and go slow!

+1 just take your time and just try a little heat than try
If still not coming loose than give it a bit more heat
And repeat with a bit more heat each time until it comes apart :tu:

Just had some success with hairdryer and pocket clip, clamping splined nut on knife side of handle with grips and using the pocket clip on the other nut to turn. No visible damage.

Had a harder time getting the pocket clip off in the first place - even though I had not used thread lock the torx screw was just rotating the whole pivot bolt and I had to clamp the other side!

A set of Loki keys would make the job a lot easier.

Out with blade, in with scissors. Thats the only certainty at the  moment. Always found a file to be useful but found another thread that suggested the Blast file might scrape the plier jaws due to the narrower chassis. The Surge saw bit holder that I was considering using in my Charge (to liberate one of the normal bit holders) looks like an external tool and may be a more advanced mod than I have time for right now. I don't want to commit to a load of new parts as I fear ending up with a bunch of stuff I can't use so looking out for a cheap busted up donor LM like a Blast or Rebar so I can experiment with some different options.
