How's everyone doing!

Just a recap from my PST OHO Knife thread, below is prototype of a juice with a half freestyle mod. Mainly, to incorporate a OHO knife into a juice.





Today, spent some time to complete this project.  ;) Made some changes, both major and minor.

Took apart the prototype for final mod. Oh boy.. It sure is made up of many component...


Decided on the external "scales" that I want and did some sanding and polishing. Originally it was circle (freestyle) and triangles( juice skeleton) on the prototype. Think it look kind of mis-match.. So I decided to add in another layer that was from the cock screw layer.


Also decided to take it a step further to increase the functionality... I needed a serrated blade and a diamond file... I stared at my Purple XE6 and KF4.. I, killed one of it..for greater good I guess.. :-\


Once I have selected the loadout, had they lined up and gave them a good cleaning and some oiling. :) Special mention for the main blade pivot. It not fun to have 2 different size on a single axis. Blade is 5.5mm, everything after is about 3mm. A bushing have to made for it. By the way, I chose to use screw and nut for the pivots. I tried using the pivot screws before but I found them really flimsy and prone to damage. So far with my original scissors mod, I have no problem with screws. Well actually.. the real reason is, I am plain lazy.. and they are really costly! Also, I love to re-configure them once in a while. Screws are cheap and easy to replace.

The special bushing that have to be made for the pivot.


Here's the complete project.  :)





Some re profiling done to the main blade. Took out the serrations, shortened it a little.


The selected loadout.

Figured that a small utility knife would be a great addition. less intimidating than whipping out the main blade for certain situation/people.

I haven seen or felt the kbx in person.. It does seems the ergos are abit off...

Added another big layer. Tested all the moving parts. All works, no obstructions on any tools.

With all the parts included, I think I have created a monster.. Not sure if its a keeper.. Well, just a proof of concept.

Hmm.. Actually what you said got me into thinking for a while.. This hulk of a Juice is no longer pocketable. The weight of it is stepping into the mid to heavy region. But function wise, still in the lightweight category. Its fun, but getting out of hand. I am going to strip it down and rethink again.

The pocket God spoke to me yesterday..Seems like I am drifting away from the weight category, stripped down the tool and and did a major reshuffling and refinement.

In the spirit of pocketability, Split the hulk back to 2 individual tool. Main one was reduced to a very pocketable size with carefully selected load-out.
