To make the two blades, we use a stainless special knife steel alloyed with chromium and molyb-denum. After hardening at 1,040 degrees Celsius and tempering at 160 degrees Celsius, theblades have a hardness of 56 RC (RC = Rockwell C, unit of hardness). The woodsaws, scissorsand nail files have a hardness of 53 RC, the screwdrivers, can openers and awls measure 52 RC,and the corkscrews and springs 49 RC.
The different tools have different hardness's. I know that's true for the Dutch 'KL1993' Army Knife .
