ok a different picture
Thinking about this minimalism thing. Who’s tried it, who likes it, who’s been successful at it? Any tips on how to start? Haha

I have done a fair amount of reading/watching stuff on it, and...If I understand correctly, the point is to simplify your life by not having your stuff eat up all your time. You're not constantly cleaning stuff, or having to work more hours to maintain stuff, etc.So, I agree that you should own your stuff, and that your stuff shouldn't own you. But Minimalism, and particularly the '100 items' version of it seems to be taking it from good, functional idea, to 'let's see how stupid we can get'.I have been... 'lucky' enough that I've had to move every so often. I find that there's nothing like moving to help you ditch all the crap you don't need/want.If you're going to do it, maybe start like that. Imagine you've got to put all your stuff in a big truck and haul it across the country. If you don't like something enough to put that much effort into it, get rid of it.I DO have to say that minimalism and multitools play well together. One thing that does a lot of functions. Very neatly minimalist.

Are we talking minimalism in general or from a EDC viewpoint? I like the concept of having your needs met by a few well considered things. I just haven't found a few things that meet all my needs yet. So I'm very positive in theory, but not able to do so in practice. I guess that makes me a tried but failed, and that I have no tips worth listening too

Example of a one belt only carry. How minimal do you want me to get?

He´s being jealous because Catwoman likes it better than his.
I was fine with minimal carry for about 35 years. Then I found MTO and discovered that I needed to carry a multitool, a SAK, a dedicated knife, a flashlight, and so much other stuff that it no longer all fit in my pockets so I had to have an EDC bag of some sort. Thanks guys.
