Highly recommended.
They only make serrated version of that, it comes very sharp.

:mail: The hawk has landed!
Very nice indeed, had to clean some gunk/heavy oil from pivot that solidified, but other then that its in great shape, can do the one hand close trick better then my ganzo delica clone as well. I'll clean it up a bit more and take some pics, but pretty happy with my first spyderbyrd.

I love Hawkbills.  there are many tasks that they excel at.

however, my first experience with a Hawkbill was not a pleasant one.  I had one put under my neck in high school, by someone who did not like me.

Why did he not like me?  that is easy.  two weeks prior we both got suspended, and he was mad about that, since he got in trouble at home.
Why were we suspended?  because he pulled a balisong on me.  I took it from him, and walked it up to the teachers desk.
Why was I suspended with him?  stupid school policy that states anyone involved in an altercation must have helped provoke it?

the funniest part to all of this..... what started the original reason he pulled a balisong on me?   a female classmate who sat in front of me would have me rub her shoulders sometimes.  the knife wielder (staying nameless) had a crush on her, and felt I was moving in on his territory. (she hated him, because he was a bully)
If I can help, let me know

I am glad your neck is okey.

Yes, nice girls don't like bullies, I can agree to that, speaking from a guy who couldn't get a girlfriend in high school.

Believe me brothers, if you want maximum cutting power pack into a specific blade length, serrated Hawkbill is the way to go.

I have no idea how to use a karambit, bu the ring is useful to retain my grip during heavy cutting.

Chinese Civilian from eBay.
Minor fit and finish issues (a long list of them) can be found throughout on very part of the knife but nothing major.
A couple minutes of tinkering fixed most the imperfections.

Aside from that, needle sharp tip, super sharp edge, solid lock up, smooth action.
Would I bet my life on this ? Maybe not but I definitely don't regret paying $25 for it.

There was a guy here selling those and other counterfeit Spydercos in December, very cheap, but I have Enlans to scratch that itch so I'll rather not stick my finger in Spyderco's eye.

I'm considering one of these......was gifted a flipper and it's very nice...... http://www.liteoptec.co.za/showcat.asp?cat=claw1

I've been bad, meant to show my flipper here long agi and haven'r gotten around to it.
They run on bearing so the action is excellent, push-button or light-switch........very fall-shutty, good detent.

Mine is a couch toy, but my friend who gifted me the knife carries his, and the last time I saw it in action the pocket lint & stuff had definitely gotten in the action.  Don't know if that's normal?

Amazingly good for the price.  :salute:
