Mini Tool Sheath mod
on: February 17, 2018, 11:14:43 PM
Started with a spare Pulse sheath that I had

Used some End nippers to cut the bottom two rivets

Measured and trimmed the bottom of the sheath to shorten it to fit the Minitool

Poked some new holes and added some rivets

All done    :tu:

]

Here it is next to another Pulse sheath for size comparison

Super easy to do and less expensive than making one from scratch which is what I was going to do.

Nice job :tu: still enough room for a wide belt to slide though? The only way you’d know it was a mod is the front making it a leath..

I bet it wasn't easy getting the 'anvil' in to finish those rivets  :salute:

It's got just enough room for a 1 1/4" belt .  :tu:

 The guide bar on my vice was just the right size so I slipped the sheath over that.

The only problem would be a supply of sheaths to start with. This Pulse / Flair size sheath is a lot less common than the PST sheath which a bit too small for the Mini. The newer PST sheaths might be big enough.

It was pretty easy to do though. Measure , cut , poke a couple holes and set a couple of rivets.

Thanks Kevin !

I just checked a few of my PST sheaths and the Mini does fit in some of them. I think it just depends on the sheath and how stiff the leather is.

Great job.  I really like simple straightforward mods like these.  Well, it always takes someone with some creativity to see a final product like this.  Again great job  :like:
