:like: Nice job. I'm still trying to develop my skill set here.

(Do Brits really become 'worried' at the sight of a folded knife in a sheath? At a campground? That seems so bizarre to me. Here, everyone walks around with a folder clipped in his or her pocket (80%), folder/multi in a belt sheath (15%), or a fixed blade in a belt sheath (5%). Having a knife is just considered 'normal', and people will probably think you are a bit odd if you don't have a knife. It saddens me to think that people have become so fearful that seeing another person carrying a knife is a cause for concern. Reconsider the neck sheath idea--it stays well out of sight.  :salute:)

we're not far from there, in my country.

If you crossed ways with a hiker, backpacker or trail runner with a knife clipped and visible, on a sheath or dangler, you'd ge all the views, awkward looks and disapproval faces of anywhere you found.

It is not rare that they'd comment in a whispering voice with their partner(s) and/or call the police or forest authorities via WhatsApp, SMS or similar to communicate about a "man in the wild with a dangerous knife" independent of the fact that they probably never saw the knife per se, nor do they know its intended use, your intentions or reasons to carry  :ahhh

most hikers and people in the outdoors do not carry a knife here, and if they do is 9/10 times a SAK or a clone thereof, and deep into the bag, pack or clothing

You won't see a clipped OHO folder or fixed blade in the belt, or even in the pack, in 99% of the folks and gals around this country's beautiful outdoors

And the 1% that does carry usually does it concealed or very well hidden so as to avoid hassle, bad impressions or unnecessary trouble  :twak:

If this one tickles your fancy, I'll send it to you:

I won it in an ESEE contest. It's seen some pocket/pack time, but it's still in nice shape.  (Spare flint in the base, too!)

I used an Izula in a little 'emergency bag', too.

Idea: store a needle and thread in the base of the Zippo. Never know when a needle may come in handy.

Cheers ZMan, but I'm glad you're enjoying it - I had a chance to try out the Crunch which I never would have otherwise .

If you're going to strip it I'd love to see some pics of the process and outcome  :salute:
