Why are some sak knives wenger victorinox & others just victorinox

I'm trying to find out why some are wenger victorinox
and others just victorinox even they are the same model sak

I've tried searching this forum and Google

when wenger stopped making knives victorinox continued making some of the old wenger models, under different names

one has a v but it's the same model knife

the victorinox delemont line is basically old wenger models

I still can't find out why one has got the v and other w on the back
But both have the victorinox logo on the front

Even I'm confused at why they didn't just leave them as Wengers. Most auto manufacturers usually have a number of different brands. However, Toyota did eventually merge most of the Scion models into the Toyota lineup a couple years back (which most were sold as Toyota in the rest of the world anyway).

If you mean on the blades or some other part they may be using leftover Wenger parts, but I am sure some sak expert will be able to say exactly what is happening.
