Congratulations AlanK!

Thank you Lynn for these practical reviews and write ups! Nice $10 and $5 write ups. I know that took a lot of time, but it really can show us the longevity and durability of a knife or tool compared to a review of a new one. Everything usually works nice when new. It's the 20 year old stuff that tells us if a tool is worth its salt.

Thank you to MTO and Grant for funding this project!

Holy smurf!!!! It's 4 in the morning and I've been up all night because of my insomnia.  I just thought to check my e-mail one more time before trying to go to bed again and I had a notification from MTO. :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh
Lynn's telling me I won stuff!  Now I'm too excited to go to sleep. :twak:  No worries.  I've got nothing important to do before noon, so I should be able to get a couple of hours of sleep anyway.  Thanks Lynn for doing the reviews.  I really enjoyed them. Thanks also to Lynn and Def and MTO for the GAW. Hope everyone has a great day!

Everything arrived safe and sound. :mail: They look great Lynn. I can't believe you found these for only $10.00.  I can't wait to carry them when the 111mm SAK challenge is over. Just a few more days.  Many thanks again to Lynn, and to Def and MTO for funding the $10 dollar challenge and giveaway.

Yay!

Those two should be a great combo, or even leaving the MP400 behind, that Tourist is a great super-pocketable little knife. Together, they should be amazing, as the only real issue I had with the MP400 was not having a great blade.

Glad you like them!

That Tourist should have come with a warning letter. It is so freakishly sharp I have slices now in both of my thumbs and on two fingers of my left hand.  I never felt a thing, and none of them bled.  I only noticed a stinging after the air hit the sub layers or when the flaps of skin caught on something.  Lynn if you sharpened it you did a marvelous job of it. I guess the Vic steel took a much better edge than either of the demo knives.  Lynn, I'd send you all of my knives to sharpen, but I couldn't afford that much postage. :hatsoff:

If it was the large blade, it was my sharpening job. If it was the small blade, that's how it came. The small blade was just short of shaving sharp when I got it.

Caution, my knives are sharp. :D

Also, welcome to the 'bleeding fingers' club.
