Oh my that is awesome, Sam! You're welcome for the idea, but wow did you do a nice job! On a side note, the plier head is similar to the way I regrind my broken tipped needle noses at work. Similar to a SOG plier head. Very nice for fine work! So, when ya going to start mass producing these 'MP400Lim' MTs?

A little how-to on installing the clip. Its a standard Wave/charge clip with a little modification. Somewhere in the middle of the screw post, u will need to cut out a groove for the pocket clip to slide in. See pic and you will get it. A little precision cutting. Go slow. A proper nice cut will minimize any side to side play. On the clip, ground off any excess on the sides and leave some allowance on the bottom 2 "feets". Now side to side is settled if you have done the cut nicely. Red is the area you need to cut groove. Green is the position of the pocket clip(Image removed from quote.)Next you have prevent it from moving up and down or sliding off. What I did was, I torch the "feets"one by one. When it hot/soft enough, I hammer the buggers to wrap it around the pivot. See, you are done. Easy as pie.(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)

And because that clip is already jammed between the frame and post screw, you will be able to still do some adjustment to the tightness of the implements without much affecting the clip.
Thanks for the very clear and clever explanation Sam Great work.
Are you planning to do anything else to your MP400 Sam Lim

Quote from: magentus on March 02, 2018, 07:25:55 PMThanks for the very clear and clever explanation Sam Great work. There's still a little problem though. The gap at the top the clip is a little roomy. It hangs alright but goes not grip tight in the pocket. I snapped one clip before this trying to close the gap.

You can anneal, bend, heat treat the pocket clip pretty easily. I've done a few of them now.

Some minor changes to the toolset. Threw the file and can opener back in.

Thought without doing it, it will keep it softer. Lesser chance of breakage? I have almost zero knowledge in these things.
