Wallyworld is clearancing Maglite Solitaires

Looks like they are dropping them. To $7. It's the 47 lumen LED variant.

I know a lot of people will turn up their nose at a single AAA battery light, but it's basic, its solid, its American and the price is right. I bought two and stashed them in my spares. I'll probably find a particular home for them in a few weeks.

I look at everything in terms of value/price, and a $7 solitaire LED is a pretty awesome light.

Wish I'd known this earlier today. I was just at my local wallyworld buying their last Ozark Trail SAK knockoff for $1.

I got one of the LED Solitaires and I love it.
It's not got that ridiculously over-the top texturing that so many aluminium flashlights do and because you untwist the front section to turn it on, and tighten it to turn it off, it never activates itself when squashed in a pocket.  It's a wonderfully simply design.

I would like to know if it's possible to move the LED parts to one of the older Solitaires - I like the old green one, but I don't like the old crappy lightbulb!

They also had those SAK knockoffs from the holidays for $1.

I've carried one of the LED Solitaires on my keychain for awhile. I lost mine on vacation in January so it wasn't too expensive to replace. Also , its easy to find replacement batteries for. Lastly they are simple enough for my mom to use (she used one for the first time this past week during my weekly visit walking their dog).
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

Thanks for the heads up, ironraven! I really really like the LED solitaire and firmly believe it is one of the best lights out there for the money. I like simple for a pocket flashlight. When I carry mine, it almost seems like it isn't there.  :)

Thanks ironraven.  I picked the last solitaire off the rack at my nearest Walmart.  Also 2, $1 SAK copies and a Ozark led light listed as  200 lumens, the OT-200L.
